![]() ![]() ![]() Watkins earned honors as Class Salutatorian in 2007. Watkins earned All-State honors in 20 by finishing in the Top 10 of the AAA State Golf Championship, winning in 2007. Watkins earned five varsity letters during his high school career, including earning the last two at Blythewood High School. Martin currently teaches social studies at Blythewood High School and served as Defensive Coordinator for the Bengals in the 2022 season. Hunter Watkins (Golf – Class of 2007) was the first golfer in school history to win a State Championship, earning the 2007 AAA Individual State Championship title. BLYTHEWOOD James Martin was officially named the next Blythewood High School head football coach on Tuesday night during the Richland Two School Board meeting. Trombley is currently enlisted in the Army where she has received numerous awards and decorations for exemplary service. After Blythewood, Trombley attended Presbyterian College. An All-American Scholar Athlete, Trombley held many school records upon graduation. Trombley earned All-Region and All-State honors as a Bengal and was selected to play in the North/South All-Star Game. Trombley helped lead the new program to region championships in each of the first two seasons of the school’s existence. Linsey Trombley (Softball – Class of 2007) played for the award-winning Bengal softball team from 2006-2007. A Shrine Bowl selection, Jones earned All-Region and All-State honors in his time at Blythewood and played football at Clemson University after graduation. Jones established school records for every receiving category while at the school, including tying a national record with eight receiving touchdowns in a game against Blue Ridge. Marquan Jones (Football – Class of 2008) was a wide receiver for the Bengals from 2005-2007, leading the Bengals to the 2006 AAA State Championship. The inductees will be recognized at halftime of the Blythewood football game against Clover on October 14. The Induction Ceremony for the inductees and their families will take place on October 13 at Blythewood High School. The Hall of Fame Class of 2022 will include Marquan Jones (Football), Lindsey Trombley (Softball), and Hunter Watkins (Golf). The Blythewood Athletic Hall of Fame is proud to announce its third annual class of inductees.
